Tuday's Artisan, a solely owned and operated small business entrepreneurship for the sale of gifts and modeling kits, opened it's doors on Main Street in December 2005, stocking a select brands of crafting and hobby supplies. In 2007, the company added a wider variety of military and nostalgic models along with finishing supplies. By 2009, TudaysHobbyModels.com was added as a secondary website for our hobby modelers to lessen the confusion from the in depth crafting gifts and supplies. And as a result, TudayCraftGift.com came online later that year for our crafters. In 2010, TudaysHobbyModels.com became Mid-Michigans largest retailer of military ship models. Today, the honor of being the biggest holds some satisfaction, but as the industry is shrinking we find that offering products at reduced prices for market share wasn't following our business plan and so was placed back on track by making an adjustment. In 2011, we began offering independent review of brand manufactured products, from a source of clubs and forums to see just how and what the industry was doing to make the quality of products better for consumers. We began ranking our discounts by the quality of the products being released. If the quality of an older model kit is better than a newly released version the newly released version is discounted to a greater percentage  If it ranks poorly, we eliminate it and offer an alert review to consumers.  What we are finding is a varied degree for quality of products. As our review process grows and consumer response grows to our request for reviews, the industry may return to a growth pattern, we will just need to wait and see. Still, we will continue to a flexible review process for products to anyone interested in commenting on a product. We hope to see sponsorship from brand manufacturers for programs that enhance modeling enthusiasms. Our philosophy is simple, if the consumer can rely on a support system and is willing to become involved in supporting such a system then the industry will grow, if not, then the industry may be faced with obscurity and eventual demise.  Effective January 1, 2012 the company officially closed it's doors and now sells it's inventories privately through eBay.
